At Turtle Island Design, Sustainable Design manifests itself mainly as a return to traditional design methods to produce more healthy, efficient, comfortable buildings, while taking care to consume resources in a responsible way. Simple, creative solutions eliminate wasted space, take advantage of proper solar orientation, and consume less energy. Natural, renewable, healthy materials create buildings which are truly enjoyable to live and work in, easy to maintain, and less costly to operate.
